Special lecture delivered by Aline Hausel and Anita Hansen Dutch professionals who are experts in integrating foreign children into the Dutch education system and mothers themselves of children with learning disabilities/dyslexia (Aline Hausel, owner of Young Expat Services) The lecture focuses on the field of special education/special needs and learning disabilities and what response can be received in the Netherlands and includes: > At what age can developmental delays be diagnosed in the Netherlands, what are the stages of diagnosis and initial treatment > What are the options available to us after the diagnosis and what assistance/facilitation can/cannot be received from the education system and public institutions > What are the differences between public and international schools in supporting special children/with learning disabilities > Are there special schools and what are the conditions for integrating into them > How should one prepare when moving with children with special needs/learning disabilities Duration of lecture: 1.5 hours The lecture is given in English
